Aberdeen researchers hail success of healthy eating range
A healthy eating range produced for Marks & Spencer has proved effective at helping people lose weight without feeling hungry, the team behind its production claim.
Experts from the Aberdeen University Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health found that people who consume its Simply Fuller Longer products lost nearly 10.5lb a month.
Over the four-week period, participants noted that they had lost around five per cent of their body weight, the Press & Journal revealed.
Allyson Flockhart from Aberdeen told the news provider: "We felt a lot lighter at the end, that's for sure. We had more energy as well, and I would say our moods were better too."
Yvonne Bishop-Weston, nutritionist at Foods for Life, recently suggested that people need to remove unhealthy aspects of their diet and replace them with portions of fruit and vegetables.
She recommended that dried fruits are a great snack to have throughout the day.
