Woman to feed 93 locals on Christmas Day
One woman from West Yorkshire will be having a Christmas Day with a difference as she serves up a festive feast to 93 elderly local residents.
Pam Clarkson, a retired licensee from Rothwell, started off 11 years ago, when just 20 people were invited to the meal.
However, word of her generosity soon got out, leaving the 71-year-old and her cookware the mammoth task of catering for the Christmas masses.
"My Christmas helpers turn up year after year to help me make the day really special for the elderly people in Rothwell. I can't thank them enough for their help," she explained.
The town's Blackburn Hall is the venue for the meal, with the local community grateful for the efforts of Ms Clarkson and her team of volunteers.
Bradford's Ministry of Food recently told the BBC that people should make a special effort to use fresh produce in their Christmas recipes this year.
