Oxfam in search of Britain's best recipes
Home cooks are being encouraged to submit their favourite recipes to a charity shop in Exeter, which is hoping to compile a cook book in the new year.
The Oxfam store on South Street is preparing to celebrate its fifth anniversary in 2011, so is hoping people will help it create the book to mark the occasion, reports thisisexeter.co.uk.
Volunteers are planning to release the book in October, which they also hope will feature artwork from some local artists.
Speaking to the news provider, shop manager Catherine Lovich said: "We are looking for all kinds of recipes, old family ones, ones with a local flavour, quirky things, exciting recipes, or ones people have made up themselves."
Earlier this month, it was revealed that Jamie Oliver's latest book, entitled Jamie's 30-Minute Meals, had broken the record for the fastest-selling non-fiction title of all time.
The record had previously been held by popular comedian Peter Kay.
