Jamie Oliver to show fish cooks how to branch out

TV chef Jamie Oliver is helping fish fans to get more out of their cooks tools, after agreeing to contribute to Channel 4's Great Fish Fight.

The programmes, which will also see Gordon Ramsay take a dip with sharks, aim to alert home cooks to dwindling fish stocks and encourage them to buy other varieties to eat.

Jamie is doing his bit by presenting the ten-part series Jamie's Fish Supper, showing viewers some of the best ways to cook mackerel, coley, mussels and trout.

"Each show will be full of suggestions on how to cook and enjoy the right kinds of fish, and shoppers can find out more about the best fish to buy to help limit the decline of the oceans' fish stocks," commented Channel 4.

It follows news that Jamie Oliver's cook books have totted up an impressive £100 million in sales, putting him second only to JK Rowling as the UK's most lucrative author.
