Weight Watchers overhauls diet plan
The new Pro Points diet from Weight Watchers has introduced new methods for people to lose weight and begin healthy eating.
Weight Watchers has brought forward the concept of "calorie delusion", where individuals are mistaken about the amount of calories that they consume.
The new Pro Points system is set to create diets for people that will take into account gender, age, height and weight in order to form the most advantageous diet possible.
Zoe Hellman, dietician for Weight Watchers, said: "Counting calories from food labels to lose weight is like judging a book from its cover- you're not getting the whole story."
This news comes after Diabetes UK revealed that the rate of diabetes in Britain has increased 150,000 from 2009 and have now reached the total of 2.8 million.
One in ten people are also now being treated for obesity, as the number of individuals registered as obese saw a reported increase of more than 5.5 million.
