Staffordshire restaurants win top awards
Two Staffordshire restaurants have been awarded for their hard work with Taste of Staffordshire Good Food Awards.
Sanjeev Kumar, owner of the Sanjeev's restaurant in Baddeley Green was awarded the top restaurant of the year title, according to the Staffordshire Sentinel.
Mr Kumar said to the news source that he was "very proud" to have won the award for his restaurant, which the 40-year old only took control of last year.
Whereas, Ross Boardman was awarded the National Farmers Union Local Food Champion 2010 award for his work at the 99 Station Street restaurant, which also finished second in the Brasserie/Contemporary Pub/Bar of the Year category, according to Burton Mail.
Judge of the competition Richard Morrey told the newspaper: "This year we placed a strong emphasis on judging businesses for their use of quality local produce and I was very impressed by the support businesses are giving to local producers."
